Day 1: Bhubaneswar – Nuapatana – Sadai Barini Joranda – Dhenkanal (103 Kms/ 3.5 Hrs drive)
Drive to Nuapatana village famous for its hand woven Khandua Silk and Ikat sarees. Visit the weaver’s village and witness their creative work. Then drive to Sadaibarini village renowned the world over for its commendable ‘Dhokra’ or bell metal handicraft, which dates back to pre-historic time of the Indus Valley civilization. Next drive to Dhenkanal, and visit the Dhenkanal Palace that is a large complex of apartments, courts and gardens nestled against the slopes of the Eastern Ghats of India. This 150-year old former palace is now turned to a comfortable guest house.
Check-in at hotel. Lunch Break.
After lunch drive to Joranda. Visit Joranda Temple and meet the sadhus (the sect belongs to a group of ascetics) in their evening prayer. Return to Dhenkanal. Overnight stay is at Dhenkanal Palace.
Day 2: Dhenkanal – Ratnagiri – Udayagiri – Lalitgiri – Bhitarkanika (Ali Palace) Sanctuary (234 Kms/ 07 Hrs drive)
This morning after breakfast, drive to Bhitarkanika visiting Ratnagiri, Udayagiri and Lalitgiri (one of the earliest Biuddhist sites in Odisha), three ancient Buddhist excavation sites and a popular Buddhist tourist circuit in the state. These Buddhist ruins were developed during the 6th and 12th Century A D. Museum of Ratnagiri and Lalitgiri are most important.
Overnight stay is at Bhitarkanika.
Day 3: Bhitarkanika – Bhubaneswar (171 Kms/ 05 Hrs drive)
This morning, visit Bhitarkanika Sanctuary - second largest Mangrove vegetation of India, and famous for salt water Crocodile, Birds and Reptiles.
In the afternoon drive to Bhubaneshwar.
